Are you spending more on your clothes than you are on your food? Because food is the outfit you wear every day, it is worth your investment! You might find it interesting to see how much people spend on food in other parts of the world. And, note that some of those countries are quite fashion savvy too!

Eco-friendly eating is a true fashion statement. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has created a resource to guide your shopping to minimize pesticide consumption. EWG estimates that if you avoid the Dirty Dozen from conventionally farmed sources, you can decrease your pesticide exposure by 85%. Less is more....for your health and the environment! Eating green is good for you and for the environment. EWG and I agree that you don't want your fear of pesticides to get in the way of eating the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables. The following chart from the Centers for Disease Control is the Indicator Report on Fruits and Vegetable Consumption in 2009. Only 14% of adults consume more than 2 fruits and 3 vegetables per day which translates into you missing out on the benefits of your foundational foods (high ORAC).
